White Lion Hotel - Crewe

We had fantastic food , especially the amazing curry. The outdoor garden was a great spot for drinks, too.

They had an early check-in. I found the hotel's location magnificent, just next door to England as well as restaurant. I loved sitting in the refurbished restaurant with friendly helpful staff.

great central access to parks and landmarks for weekend strolls

I enjoyed my time here, especially the hearty breakfast and the cute atmosphere, a perfect start to my explorations around Crewe, where I discovered nearby Wychwood Park, just about 4 km away, and the historical Crewe Heritage Centre, a short walk of less than 4 km from the hotel.

They were so accommodating, i asked for a quiet room n got it. The food was amazin, always top notch! Breakfasts were fresh n delicious too. Nice comfy bed n plenty of parking.

But the room could have been warmer, it was a bit chilly at night. Our shower was kinda cramped, not ideal at all.

The bathrooms feel cramped, with awkward angles for using the toilet and limited space when exiting the shower. I faced a letdown with the dinner menu on a busy night-options were slim, and the main choices of fish and chips or hamburgers certainly lacked variety. There was no mention of healthier options on the menu, which didn't sit well with me. Waiting over 30 minutes for breakfast only to leave before it arrived? Not ideal. The experience was a mix of highlights and a few letdowns that I wasn't expecting.

I recently stayed here for a night and loved the cozy, stylish decor and how clean everything was, especially the room. The beer garden was a great spot to relax with a drink. The sun terrace offered a perfect view of the garden area. Just a heads-up, some noise from other guests at night was a bit disruptive, but it didn't overshadow the overall experience. 😊

The Lion offers a comfortable and charming atmosphere for business travellers, with a well-maintained room that provided all necessary amenities. The staff were very efficient, quickly assisting with my requests . The dining experience was a standout, with a varied menu with delectable home-cooked dishes, where I found the steak particularly satisfying. Breakfast was also substantial, with a great selection to fuel my day ahead.

The room showed signs of wear and could use some updating.

Very nice Breakfast and Comfortable Stay

I stayed here for one night and was really impressed by the breakfast which was freshly cooked with high-quality ingredients, including delicious sausages. The room was nice and neat. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service throughout. It would be nice to have a better heating option as the room felt a bit chilly at night.

Breakfast options impressed me. Continental buffet with delicious pastries and fresh coffee. Tried the salmon and eggs-just perfect. The room had a bright, comfortable layout with a lovely view of the garden. Friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately, noisy guests woke me up during the night, quite disruptive. Breakfast service could improve. Had to ask for toast and the sausages lacked flavor. A satisfying stay despite some noise and breakfast issues.

would like to go back there again

The room was cozy with a tv, wardrobe, and great private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries. Breakfast was a highlight, with a large selection of delicious dishes. Staff were quick to help. The outdoor seating area was beautiful and relaxing for a drink after a busy day.

A lovely stay with a charming old-world atmosphere, the restaurant ambiance was stylishly modern. Enjoyed a fabulous steak and the breakfast was one of the best I've had in years. The room was comfortable although a bit cramped for two. There was a bit of noise in the hallway during the night, which disrupted sleep slightly.
